v0.7 — The Leaderboard
is now a gaming experience

SDRs don't get another enterprise dashboard. They get a cinematic competitive board that makes them want to open it voluntarily, check their rank, and run one more analysis before end of day to pass the person above them. That's the behavioral change that moves pipeline.

No asset dependency. Neon green laser grid converging to a vanishing point, CRT scan lines, horizon burst. The default for teams that want gaming energy without a specific sport.
Supporting features
Everything else that shipped in Session 12
Climb tip engine
Tells the SDR exactly how many more handoffs, analyses, readiness points, or badges needed to pass the person directly above them. Updates live on every metric and period change. The core motivation mechanic.
SPIFF tracker
Team progress toward the active SPIFF with amber progress bar, target count, and end date. Two competitive signals in one strip — team progress and your personal gap to the leader.
SDR Health ring identity colors
Each ring now has a permanent identity: purple (Avg Score), amber (Handoff Rate), blue (This Week calls). Each independently flips to green when its threshold is hit — ≥70%, ≥60%, ≥10 calls. No label required.
Analyses count fix
kevin.kunz@hyvara.ai was showing 999,975 remaining — a cosmetic artifact from call_limit=1000000. Normalized to 999,999 so the isUnlimited check fires correctly and displays "Unlimited."
Version bump v0.6.1 → v0.7
Sidebar footer updated. v0.7 is the leaderboard gaming release. Session 13 opens with the two-row frosted rank card redesign and the What's New qualifier block.
DB housekeeping
colin.schap confirmed approved in testhive_leads. HQ showing REVOKED is a UI rendering issue — the data is clean. Targeted fix queued for Session 13.
SDR Health
Ring identity color system
SDR Health rings
Three rings, three identities, one shared goal
Outer — Avg Score · Purple → green at ≥70%
Middle — Handoff Rate · Amber → green at ≥60%
Inner — This Week · Blue → green at ≥10 calls
The SDR sees at a glance which metrics are performing and which need attention. Each one celebrates green independently — so a great handoff week doesn't hide a lagging readiness score.

Feedback that became product

Every observation from the design partner conversations maps directly to a build decision. This is the voice of the customer — direct quotes and signals translated to what we shipped and what's queued.

Colin Schap · Ensemble
Active design partner — Sessions 9–12
Colin's feedback from the post-session debrief and ongoing testing has driven the core product direction for the SDR experience.
"Right now the tool feels like a report card. The SDR submits a transcript, AI produces a verdict, and they move on. There's no dialogue. No coaching moment."
Colin Schap — Ensemble→ Post-call gap-fill dialogue (Session 13)
"The leaderboard is exactly the right concept. SDRs are competitive. They need to see where they stand. The gaming angle is going to land with this group."
Colin Schap — EnsembleBuying signal→ Shipped in v0.7
"The backdrop idea is great. Let teams pick their scene. Championship track is going to be the one Josh picks — that's his vibe."
Colin Schap — Ensemble→ Five-backdrop system shipped
"The climb tip is the most important thing on the whole page. That's what makes me want to open it. Tell me exactly what I need to do to move up one spot."
Colin Schap — EnsembleCore UX validation→ Shipped in v0.7
David Maloof · PreSales Advisory
Strategic adviser — ongoing
David's advisory input has shaped the SDR coaching philosophy and the AE handoff quality gate.
"The handoff score is the number that matters. Not analyses run, not readiness score — the handoff that AE accepts. Everything else is a leading indicator to that."
David Maloof — PreSales AdvisoryStrategic framing→ Handoffs as primary metric
"Compensation dictates behavior. If SDRs see that handoff rate drives their rank, they'll optimize for handoff quality. You don't need to tell them — the board tells them."
David Maloof — PreSales AdvisoryBehavioral design→ Leaderboard gamification thesis
Andrae Middleton · Hyvara AI
Co-founder input — Session 9
"The Knowledge Base needs to feel like a living resource, not a file dump. If it doesn't surface at the moment of analysis, it's not adding value."

Kyle Chau
Debrief & Action Items

Kyle Chau — former Adobe Solutions Architect, now acting as Sarah Lacey's de facto SA under Ensemble — joined Kevin and Colin for a 90-minute conversation covering DCN product direction, Adobe org structure, partner program dynamics, and SDR Hive. The call went exceptionally well. Kyle moved from polite curiosity to active co-creator inside of 20 minutes.

Overall read
How the call went
"This is not a VLOOKUP. The real problem is establishing a trusted bond between two individuals who have to work together to close business. Partners are willing to invest — as long as AEs are willing to invest."
Kyle Chau — validating the DCN thesisCore validation
"Crossbeam is a VLOOKUP. Adobe implemented it. The AEs don't even know it exists. It doesn't give you any relationship capability."
Kyle ChauCompetitive differentiation confirmed
"Build the prime/co-prime model on the AE side first. It carries over to the partner side automatically in an hour. That's the right sequence."
Kyle Chau→ Jon Yee conversation this weekHigh-priority build signal
"Sarah will like this. She's trying to reinvent the whole partner experience. She has more behavioral data than she knows what to do with — this gives it purpose."

Adobe org intelligence
Who's who and how to sequence
Primary target
Sarah Lacey
VP Partner Experience & Marketing · On sabbatical, back mid-July
Owns the Hub (partner portal), all partner communications, and anything touching the partner experience. Kyle is her de facto SA — when he says he'll introduce you and thinks she'll like it, that's essentially an internal champion commitment. She's reinventing the whole partner experience. Don't mention MCP or LLM — she's a data-first marketer. Lead with behavioral analytics and the ecosystem visibility story.
Relationship asset
Kyle Chau
Acting SA for Sarah Lacey · Under Ensemble contract · Switzerland role
Kyle's unique position — employed by Ensemble, trusted by Adobe, acting as Sarah's technical decision point — makes him the most valuable relationship in this sequence. He's not a gatekeeper to get around. He is the path in. Keep him engaged, make him feel like a co-creator on the product direction, and let him champion the intro to Sarah.
Senior layer
Kyle Ellis
Owns all of Partner Org + Strategic Accounts
The partner org rolled up into Kyle Ellis's strategic accounts org — which is actually the right model. Partners should be in every strategic account. Sarah can make introductions upward toward Kyle Ellis when the time is right. Don't try to reach him directly yet.
Senior layer
Alison Webster
Head of Partner Program · Based in UK
Took over from Tony Sanders. Entire partner leadership is now out of UK. Sarah can make introductions upward to Alison. This is a Q3 relationship once the pilot is in motion with Sarah's team.
Handle carefully
Mark Chapman
Program Owner · Owns Sales Center / deal reg process
Territorial and difficult. He owns the program mechanics — Sales Center is built on React by Adobe Tech Services. Technically the DCN would connect through his world, but go through Sarah first. Don't let Kyle introduce you to both simultaneously — that creates a turf war before you're in the door. Sequence: Sarah → Mark, never parallel.
Urgency — retiring Dec 31
Mike Neumann
Alliance Leader · Last day December 31, 2026
He has pulled the trigger — December 31 is confirmed. The 9-month window is now 6 months. Mike is the sponsor for the pilot conversation — 12 AEs, 4–5 small/mid partners, run it through end of year. Get this in motion before Q4 when his attention shifts to exit and transition. Leverage him now, not later.
Product signals from Kyle
What to build and what to avoid
"If you build the prime/co-prime model on the AE side, Ensemble working with three out of five co-primes becomes a massive signal. That partner wins the deal. Stop mucking around with six different partners — single neck to choke."
Kyle Chau→ Prime/co-prime feature (Jon Yee this week)
"The partner ecosystem analytics dashboard — that's your VC story and your leadership story. Being able to see what every partner is doing, what AEs are doing, the behavior data — that's the 30,000-foot view nobody has today."
Kyle Chau→ Ecosystem analytics (backlog)High-value signal
"Once you get into holding companies — WPP, Publicis — this falls apart fast. Don't even target them. PwC and Deloitte are manageable. Holding companies are insane."
Kyle ChauGuardrail — hold the line
"Adobe's Hub is built in React by ATS. No native integration is possible in Phase 1. The CRM heartbeat architecture is the right approach — don't try to connect directly into Dynamics. That's never going to happen."
Kyle Chau — technical constraintsArchitecture confirmation
"The SDR Hive piece — that's a natural handoff point from the DCN. I saw the qualifier. It works really well. I'm impressed with what you've done with Anthropic on the back end."

What happens next
Behavioral impact

What this means for the SDR

Features don't move pipeline. Behavior changes do. Here's what v0.7 is designed to change about how an SDR interacts with the tool — and why that matters for the numbers.

The thesis
This isn't a Salesforce dashboard
"Compensation dictates behavior. If the leaderboard shows that handoff rate drives their rank, SDRs will optimize for handoff quality. You don't have to tell them — the board tells them."
David Maloof — PreSales Advisory
Voluntary opens
An SDR opens a gray enterprise dashboard because their manager told them to. They open a gaming leaderboard because they want to see if someone passed them. The backdrop switcher is the first signal — "which one did you pick?" becomes a team conversation.
One more analysis
The climb tip tells the SDR exactly what they need to do to move up one spot. "You need 6 more handoffs to pass Sam" is a specific, actionable target. That's the pull that gets them to run one more analysis before end of day.
Self-correcting quality
When handoff rate is one of three ring colors, the SDR sees it deteriorating without being told. Purple ring goes dim, they know their avg score is slipping. No manager conversation required — the visual does the coaching.
Team competition
The SPIFF banner creates team-level urgency. "47 of 60 handoffs to hit the target — Sam is leading, you're 6 back." Two competitive frames in one strip: team vs target and you vs the leader. Both pull behavior.
For Colin's team at Ensemble
What the demo moment looks like
Moment 1 — Login
"Pick your backdrop"
colin.ensemble@hyvara-demo.com logs in and sees the leaderboard for the first time. The backdrop switcher is the first interactive moment. "Which one do you want?" becomes the icebreaker. Josh picks Championship. Colin picks Gotham. That's already a team conversation.
Moment 2 — Rank check
"Where do I stand?"
The my-rank banner is always visible above the list. 4th. Flat vs last period. 0 handoffs this quarter. The climb tip immediately tells them what they need: "51 more qualified handoffs to pass Jane Demo." The gap is clear, the action is clear.
Moment 3 — Motivation
"I need to run a call"
The SDR goes to the qualifier. Not because the manager told them to — because the board told them they're 6 handoffs behind. That's the behavior change that moves pipeline. The tool created the pull.
Moment 4 — SPIFF
"The team needs 13 more"
The SPIFF banner creates team urgency on top of individual urgency. 47 of 60 handoffs to hit the Q2 Sprint target. The SDR now has two reasons to run the next analysis — their rank and the team goal. Both are visible at the same time.
Session 13 + Roadmap

What comes next

Session 13 opens with three tight prompts, then picks up the DCN prime/co-prime conversation with Jon Yee based on Kyle Chau's input.

Session 13 — opener queue
First three prompts
Prompt 1 · Session 13
Two-row frosted rank cards
Replace the single-row rank panel with two-row cards — rank number at 28px, player name at 15px with trend and badges below, score at 28px on the right with gap below. Panel background drops to 48% opacity with backdrop-filter: blur(10px) so the images bleed through. The backdrop images are too blocked right now.
Prompt 2 · Session 13
What's New qualifier block
Dismissible v0.7 release notes card in the dead space on the qualifier page between the welcome heading and the scenario picker. Amber left accent, version-stamped localStorage key so it reappears automatically on version bump. Four bullet points: leaderboard backdrops, ring colors, battle cards, KB integration.
Prompt 3 · Session 13
Colin HQ status fix
colins@ensemble.com shows REVOKED in HQ UI despite being approved in the DB. Data is clean — this is a rendering issue in the RolesCell or status display. One zip read + targeted prompt to fix. Must be clean before next Colin demo session.
Pre-session · Jon Yee
DCN prime/co-prime design conversation
Kyle Chau's highest-priority signal from the June 18 call. Build it on the AE side — prime owns the account, co-prime owns the product specialty — and it carries to the partner side automatically. Jon Yee needs to be in this conversation this week before it goes to design.
v0.8 — Sessions 13–14
Near-term roadmap
v0.8 target
Post-call gap-fill dialogue
Colin's core feedback — the tool feels like a report card. The SDR submits, gets a verdict, moves on. The fix is interactive post-call Q&A: the system asks the SDR targeted questions about gaps in the analysis, the SDR fills them in, the score updates. Coaching moment, not report card.
v0.8 target
HQ team backdrop selector
Sales Leader sets the default backdrop for their team from HQ settings. Stored in team_settings. Colin's team could always land on Championship. Another team picks Gotham. Adds personalization without extra routes.
v0.8 target
SDR-owned next steps post-analysis
Coming out of Colin's core feedback thread — after the analysis, the SDR should own a list of next steps they commit to. Not manager-assigned. SDR-owned. Surfaces in the Handoffs queue as committed actions tied to each deal.
v0.9 — Q3 2026
DCN pilot with Adobe — Mike Neumann window
12 AEs, 4–5 small/mid partners (not PwC, not holding companies), pilot through end of Q4 before Mike Neumann's December 31 retirement. Sarah Lacey intro happening mid-July. Mark Chapman sequenced after Sarah. Kyle Chau is the internal champion.
v1.0 — Q4 2026
SDR-to-AE Volley · AE Lite · CRM Connector
The full revenue relay in motion. SDR qualifies, handoff goes to AE Lite view, AE confirms and takes over, SE receives the brief. Google Sheets connector for account import. Background CRM scanner. The buy and ownership loop closes.
